The transponder measures just 12 x 2mm.

Inside the capsule is an antenna coil

and a microchip, which requires no

battery and contains the identification code.

The code can always be read, independently

of the position of the tag, whether

stationary or in motion. The reader

communicates with the transponder via low

power, low frequency radio waves.
