Electronic identification of laboratory animals.

Since 1997 a new International ISO standard has been set for transponders and readers for animal

identification. This standard will facilitate the compatibility of the transponders of the various companies.

The transponders and readers supplied by UNO comply for 100% with the ISO standard for the

electronic animal identification, for all animals. The identification of individual laboratory animals

is becoming more and more important. Also the possibility to connect certain data to the individual

animal is often asked for. UNO offers a complete range of readers from reader that only

read the ID- number to readers which - connected to a PC - show you all the required data

which you previously selected and entered.

Readers

The most simple reader available is the MINI-MAX. This small hand-held reader

allows you to quickly scan the animal for its identification

number; which will than be shown in the display.

More suffisticated readers are the ISO MAX I and the ISO MAX III readers.

Both models can be connected to your PC.

The ISO MAX III is also able to read most "old generation" transponders from

most manufacturers.

The latest addition to our reader assortment is the GESREADER II. This small hand

held reader reads ISO compatible RF-ID transponders but also allows you to make

your own list of observation codes and record an observation with

a transponder reading and/or make and show your own alpha nummeric

equivalent transponder code.
