Silicone Catheters

Medical grade silicone rubber, also known as SILASTIC from Dow Coring, has traditionally

been considered the goldstandard for long-term access in animals and humans.

Its properties include high biocompatibility, relative non-thrombogenicity and resistance

to chemicals. It may be autoclaved or ETO gas sterilized.

Intravascular grade silicone is available in 25 foot lengths (non-sterile) or cut to your

specifications (sterile).

Polyurethane Catheters

The only material comparable to silicone rubber for

long-term animal and human vascular access, is polyurethane.

Polyurethane has many favorable biocompatible and

non-trombogenic properties, as well as having a greater

wall strenght than silicone.

It may only be ETO gas sterilized. Intravascular grade silicone

is available in 25 foot lengths (non-sterile) or cut to your specifications (sterile).

Disc Mesh / Suture Flange		available on all catheter materials silicone sheeting impregnated with Dacron Mesh available as disk or flange aids in suturing catheter to organs, fascia or tissue
Perfusion Holes		available on all catheter materials used for perfusing organs and cavities use for CFE applications not recommended for IV/IA use
Dacron Felt Cuff		available on all catheter materials promotes tissue ingrowth for catheter fixation primarily used on exit site of catheter
Retention beads		available on all catheter materials, movable/stationary apply sutures proximal or in-between beads used to retain catheter in vessels and ducts.

Chronic-Cath / Chronic - Cath-AC Specifications.

Luer Stub Adaptors				Pigtail Connector
Luer Stub Adaptors are the ideal way to temporarily connect a syringe to a catheter. The adaptors have a blunt end with a collar coded plastic hub. The adaptors are available to fit a variety of catheter sizes and are fitted with injection caps. Luers are individually packed and sterile. Supplied per box of 10.		- FOTO LUER STUBS-		The "Pigtail" connector features a titanium barbed connector, ensuring a very secure connection to the catheter, with 1" Tygon tubing. Custom lengths available.
