Pump available. PEGASUS for telemetry is a combination of sophisticated hardware and

custom software developed exclusively for laboratory Animal Research.

Description

PEGASUS Telemetry is designed to provide the ultimate in "hands-off" tetherless infusion.

All control of the pump is done from a PC via infra-red or radio signal... no tether or wire

are required. This telemetry pump allows the researcher the freedom and flexibility of altering

infusions as often as desired without disturbing the animal.

 

Number of animals per system

* 1 - 6 animals can be programmed and monitored from one PC.

 

Programming

* Capable of programming continuous, intermittent, or custom profiles from PC. Programs

may be changed as often as desired.

* Capable of administering bolus from PC.

* Capable of stopping flow from PC.

* PC "interface" box allows for simple (continuous) to complex (loading dose, chrono,

irregular, etc.) custom profiles via "PEGEDIT" DOS software package.

 

Monitoring

* One PC monitors performance of all pumps.

* Alerts are signalled on the PC.

* Pumps may be monitored in a remote office or even off-site.

* A complete record of the continuous monitoring is stored.

 

Most versatile

PEGASUS can replace a

* Syringe pump (micro flow)

* Tetherless pump (like CADD)

* Tethered pump (high flow)

 

Accuracy

Accuracy of + 2 % in PEGASUS Vario (+ 5 % in PEGASUS light) is maintained even

with high downstream pressure.

 

Start and stop time/date

* Ability to set start/stop time and date directly on pump keypad.

* If start/stop are not set, pump will start when turned on and stop when turned off.

 

Download pump data

All pump activity is recorded on a microchip. Data may be down-loaded to create a complete

infusion record for documentation.

 

Continuous flow

Portable pumps deliver the desired flow rate in pulses. PEGASUS Vario pulse is 0.4 µl,

which is 100 x smaller than the pulse of other pumps. At small flow rates, other pumps

will in fact deliver intermittent, not continuous, infusion, while PEGASUS micropulsing

ensures virtually pure continuous flow.

 

Battery or AC

PEGASUS is supplied for use with batteries (2 x 1.5 V), but it can be adapted for AC power.

 

Additional Pump Protection

For the animal infusion application, a strong box is at your disposable to place the pump

and a reservoir with approximately 120 ml medication. This strong box protects the pump

against damage due to unusually aggressive animal behaviour.
