VENTILATED CAGE SYSTEMS

 

In close operation with Allentown Caging Equipment in the USA, UNO has designed the
UNO / ACE Ventilated cage racks specially to meet the European Guidelines for Laboratory Animal Housing.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Specifications:

Contains the UNO Micro Isolator, which has already proven its suitability with SPF
and transgenic mice and rats in many research centers and animallaboratories in the various continents.
 
The only Ventilated Cage system on the European Market which functions even when only a few cages are placed in the rack.
 
Easy and reliable cleaning; the rack can be placed in an autoclave without de-assembling - which is UNIQUE for the laboratory market . The air distribution plenums are accessible from two sides which facilitates cleaning of the system.
 
By UNIQUE cage lock the cage is always connected correctly to the Air supply system, thus creating a possibility for the animal technician to check the system by a short visual check up.
 
No short cut circulation possible through system and position of the air inlet and air exhaust.
 
Drying of the bedding in the cage lengthens the lifetime of the cage through the reduction of ammonia and reduces number of necessary cage cleanings thereby reducing personal costs.
 
By using a Wire Lid Type III H you can also insert Filtertopcages with an internal cage height of 18cm.

 

 

The ventilated cage racks are available in two systems, i.e.:

 

MICRO FLO; only HEPA filtered positive supply air IN

(with Smart Bio-Pak) NO Exhaust

 

 

MICRO VENT; HEPA filtered positive supply air IN
(with Smart Bio-PAK) and Exhaust air HEPA filtered OUT
(with Exhaust PAK).

Air Supply Systems:
The Smart Bio-PAK air supply module delivers
HEPA filtered (99,99% efficient @ .3 microns, Emory 3004 Probed)
air to the Micro-FLO and Micro-VENT environmental rodent housing
systems. Lightweight aluminum cabinet is complete with prefilter,
HEPA filter and forward impeller fan, CPU control board
and special air flow sensor.
Features real time LCD display of cage air changes per hour (ACH).
Universal power supply with the D.C. motor blower assures consistent
performance under various electrical conditions (85-264 VAC., 50/60Hz.)
A microprocessor control board automatically adjusts the blower speed,
utilizing "feed-back" control technology to maintain constant air flow
as the HEPA filter begins to load. LED display indicators for:
Filter blockage, fan controller
malfunction and power on. Rack or wall mounted.

 

The Exhaust-PAK module removes contaminated
air from the Micro-VENT environmental rodent housing system.
Lightweight aluminum cabinet is complete with prefilter,
HEPA filter, magnehelic air flow pressure gauge and
forward impeller fan. Features the Flo-SAFE device which
protects against negative air draw from the room into the cage.
The Flo-SAFE device will deactivate the Exhaust-PAK in the
event of a Smart Bio-PAK failure or interruptedair flow due
to filter load. Rack or wall mounted.
